Binyamin Moshaev, also known as Cantor Benny, has been a cantor leading services in synagogues, and teaching since 2003. He received his Cantorial Certificate from the Tel Aviv Cantorial Institute in Israel in 2004 with Cantorial recitatives, modes, Solfege and voice production.
He continued teaching in 2006 when he joined the Congregation Beth-El in Montreal QC. Since then he has experienced the joy of teaching children to read Hebrew and say their prayers from the Siddur in preparation for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah’s. Furthermore, Cantor Benny provides several services for the Jewish community, including Bar and Bat Mitzvah lessons, and Torah and Haftorah lessons.
Cantor Benny uses a unique blend of an easy to use computer program and his personalized approach for each student. This method makes learning fun, easy and interesting for the student, regardless of age or prior knowledge.
Lessons vary based on the students’ prior education and the goals that they personally wish to attain, and he will fully accommodate their unique needs and aspirations.
Cantor Benny is also very experienced in teaching children with special needs to read Hebrew and will take the time necessary to ensure your child’s success.
Cantor Benny can help your son or daughter learn how to read Hebrew and say their prayers from the Siddur. In addition, they can be taught how to chant the Haftorah, the Maftir, and certain sections of, or their entire Bar or Bat Mitzvah Torah portion.
Moreover, he can teach your son to sing the Brochos beautifully for his Aliyah, and can also provide lessons on how to lead the Davening service.
